Jimmy’s ex: I’M PREGNANT! YOU’RE THE FATHER! Jimmy: well, kinda…
  • I want this man to make a video about my life, it’d be hilarious and depressing. “This man has no chance whatsoever to get this girl” “The job interviewers said yes, well kinda” “This man had the audacity to think he’d make it into college”

Wilt's 48 inch vert always sounded insane to me, but a 40 inch vert is still pretty damn insane for a 7'1 player and he was a true 7'1 (measured without shoes). I was always impressed by how easily Wilt launched himself into the air. A lot of big men really have to exert themselves to get airborne, but Wilt did it so effortlessly.

This man can come out and say: Here's why Joakim Noah is the REAL G.O.A.T.

The Heat weren’t the first “super” team, they were the first “super” team that was entirely formed by players, not teams. The Bulls and 80s Celtics were mainly formed through the draft and team led trades
  • The story with Wilt reaching the top of the backboard actually involves him grabbing a quarter, so using that we can assume his max reach is actually closer to 13'1.5 or evenhigher
  • Jxmmyhighroller is basically the definition of “quality over quantity”

The only reason they say “defense wins championships” is because all young players only want to play offense and no defense.

This is 4th quarter stats. Far from what “clutch means”. Case in point, Robert Horry.

MJ's blind free throws had me sitting outside eyes closed for weeks trying to hit a free throw without looking

40-41 inch vert is still crazy thing when we're talking about 7'1'' giant

Lebron: plays for the laker Jimmy: uses photoshopped lebron picture

"There were no teams with more than 2 star players between 1998 and 2008" The SAS with Parker, Duncan and Ginobili: Am I a joke to you?
  • In respect to the "Clutch" player thing: The calculations were based on the last 12 minutes of a game, but many examples come to mind, that really don't impact the game that much in the 4th quarter overall, but for instance in the last 2-3 minutes they make one or two super crucial plays or make the game winning shot or score in rue of taking the lead and the momentum. Basing it on 12 minutes tells the average and not really the whole story, I think. Also, I believe there is a thing like certain players being more prone to get hot in crucial moments. If you look at the averages over one or more seasons, that phenomenon might be statistically invisible, if a player has one of those games now and then, but also has a number of games in which he performs subpar in important minutes or even the whole game.

NBA Fan: Has an opinion Jxmy: Well yes, but actually no
  • Just to tell you how crazy a 48" vertical is for those who don't know but if Tacko Fall had a 48" vertical he'd be jumping about 6.5" higher then the BACKBOARD.
  • Regarding the "clutch" myth... I'll just say sometimes the absence of context can effect the impact of stats.
