Filmed at the Open Sea Exhibit inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium in Autumn, 2022. While unintentional, once the story was written, I was very glad that this footage had been taken since no writing skill is equal to the sight of these schools of silvery fish whirling in the water. They do this as a defense against predation.
This video was created to be an embedded illustration in my fanfiction Holding His Breath for the MXTX/Heaven Official's Blessing series I write 'To Ascend and To Fall.' Much of the content concerns recovery from serious physical and psychological trauma and as such is the opposite of 'light reading' though there are moments of laughter and beauty. How convenient to have these images available for one of the most emotionally intense scenes in the book...
