The Royal Swedish Army Band (Arméns musikkår, AMK) is the largest of the three professional bands in the Swedish Armed Forces with around 50 musicians. The Drum Major is David Lindberg.

The Changing of the Guard Parade on foot takes place every day at the Army Museum (Armémuseum) at 11.30 (an hour later on Sundays and some special occasions), where the Band plays a small concert while the New Guard parade. At 11.45, the Band and New Guard marches off to the Royal Palace in Stockholm, where they enter at 12.15 to start the Changing of the Guard Ceremony. The Ceremony takes around 40 minutes and the Band plays a concert while the Sentries are changing.

    Vackert! Har rötter där, sedan tidernas begynnelse och sedan via Jämtland upp till Viihelmina i södra (Åsele) Lappland 1770-tal redan.. Men alltid Ångermanland som kärnan! 😃
