Toronto police say they’ve successfully dismantled a criminal organization that was not only stealing vehicles but also trafficking, shipping and giving them a new VIN (Vehicle Identification Number).

Investigators said information gathered during a drug and gun trafficking investigation launched last April led them to open a second investigation in August that focused on stolen vehicles.

As Global News Crime Specialist Catherine McDonald reports, undercover officers recovered 48 stolen vehicles in total as part of “Project Paranoid.”

JAIL NOT BAIL!!!!! what is wrong with our damn justice system in this country!
  • @rhonda1505
Why have police arrest car thieves and they are already out on bail. The justice system is backwards. Keep car thieves IN jail until their trials.

    1. The suspects are already on bail. 2. They don't even show the names or the faces of the suspects. Criminals are truly well-protected in canada. Don't be a victim. lol

no names or photo's, released already on their own recognizance, we need the names of the prosecutors and judges as well as their photos

why wouldn't they stay for 2 hours? 12 minutes already seems like a lot. How about instead of blaming car manufacturers we address the issues: our broken legal system, deportation of criminals, broken immigration system, self defence laws etc...
