This one is the first of the humidity videos. We will be covering how humidity is measured and what effect it has on the refrigeration cycle.
This video is part of the heating and cooling series of training videos made to accompany my websites: www.graycoolingman.com and www.grayfurnaceman.com to pass on what I have learned in many years of service and repair. If you have suggestions or comments they are welcome.
If you are a homeowner looking to repair your own appliance, understand that the voltages can be lethal, the fuels are highly flammable and high pressures are used. Know your limits.

Thanks for the info. FYI, I made my W.B. sock from the bottom hem on a old undershirt and slit it over a meat thermometer probe. It Works!

I was looking for meteorology info about wet bulb and I think you explained it better than the weather guys and gals - Thanks!
  • I would like to thank you for putting these oil burner furnace videos on you tube.  we ran the tank dry last year and that brought us some problems.  the furnace seemed to work fine after filling the tank and bleeding he air out of the fuel line. Then it just stopped working. I watched your videos and then I applied the knowledge that I had gained to my furnace.  I ended up cleaning the nozzle  and the entire fuel line using your instruction. Got a perfect running furnace as a result. Thanks!!!

You explained to me what wet and dry bulb means very clearly.  I was not able to understand this concept for years after reading technical material, but now I finally get it.  Thanks a whole bunch!
