What I found heartfelt was how Chopper almost seemed to recognize him immediately, even though Ezra was in Night Trooper armor.

So Ezra "hitchhiked" with Thrawn back to the galaxy, but managed to snag a shuttle, evade the Chimera's sensors, and hook up with the New Republic, all before Thrawn could land on Dathomir? Okay, that needs to be episode 1 of season 2: How Ezra got off of Thrawn's ship.

I like how Chopper was like: “hold up. There’s something familiar about this bucket head” and Ezra pet him. Dang Hera meeting Ezra again… adopted mom again I’m not crying

This is one of the greatest reunions I’ve ever seen. Hera thinks of Ezra as her son and Ezra thinks of Hera as his mom. I’m glad they reunited and I know that they’ll do whatever they can to defeat Thrawn. Once a rebel, always a rebel.

Hera probably scolded him for disobeying a direct order she gave him in the Rebels finale but afterwards probably gave him a hug.

The fact Ezra made a return trip on the same star destroyer vessel that took him from the galaxy is poetic.

For everyone asking about Ezra's escape from the chimera. He was a street rat in lothal. Parents got arrested by the empire before he was a teenager. He learned to blend in early. He also did this same thing almost a dozen times in Rebels. IIRC, he has flown the same model of shuttle a few times. As for the witches. That isn't hard, either. They aren't looking for him, and that is a massive ship. Do they have the ability, yes. Did they know to use it to do a sweep of the ship, no.
