Great to see a lady on the footplate, my father was a fireman on the GWR, based at Stratford on Avon, where my love of steam comes from, good luck and best wishes

It's lovely to see a woman interested enough in steam engineering to learn the shovel. I look forward to seeing her on the regulator one day.

The crew seem to be doing a cracking job on the footplate. Always keen to see more women on the railways. 75078 is a fantastic engine, one of the only good standard designs, the others being the standard 4 tanks and standard 7s. Not keen on standard 2s, 6s or especially class 5s.

I love Worth Valley Railway! It's a place where lasses aren't afraid of work, a bit o' grime and can drink pints of Taylors; where a flat cap becomes a grease-top through years of use, and where men push cows about like they were stroppy teenagers.
