For anyone having issues with the loopOut() expression - I just copied the initial 2 second animation a few times, aligned them along the timeline (it will look like a stairway) and then made it into a pre-comp. Then everything in the tutorial I just did to the pre-comp and it worked! (The lazy way out I know)

🌸🐛 Also another "bug", if you have a problem like me that you get a blink of blakness right after the first loop of the text scaling animation, then read the article I will attach below about why in the tutorial at 1:52 he creates a keyframe one frame before the original ending frame. When you do that the blink won't happen, google for after effects forum question below (since I can't put links here), some guy called Rick Gerard explains it there: "Using the loopOut() expression always leaves the last frame blank, no matter what I d

this is crazy, never thought ae can actually interpretate image as time map in this effect, always looks on this effect like on david lynch cringe generator from real videos only before seen your video)

When it gets to the loop out part, mine seems to go on/off at the loop? Like a blank screen. Any help?

00:39 when I press option + its not shorten the layer and how does the scale option pop up? when I scale my text its not the same type of scaling

I was really enjoying the tutorial but about halfway through when going to the time displacement layer and selecting output to background that distorted affect that immediately comes up doesn’t happen for me I am sure I followed correctly but I can’t figure out what I’ve done wrong, i’m working in after effects 2022.

Didn’t enjoy this tutorial I wish there was more explanation
