Christopher Lee as Magneto is so inspired! How did I never even think of that before?! And Sam Neill as Beast?!! Wow that was ingenious!!

Tom Cruise as Cyclops is actually perfect casting! In fact, he literally looks exactly the way I would have imagined a real life Cyclops to look. He has the swagger and commanding presence to be a team lead too. Would have been an awesome cast with guys like Depp on board and Gibson as Wolverine. Man, there would have been some awesome tension between Gibson's Wolverine and Cruise's Cyclops, because Gibson can be very aggressive and forward while still retaining a sense of broken and fragile sensibilities, while Cruise can definitely come across as being egotistical and smarmy but with good intentions. Would have played off of one another in a great way.
