So basically: 1. Shallow pacs tend to work better 2. Events don't work at all
  • @Jamie-yo9wn
The fact that there's even a tier of "doesn't work at all" and EA is still selling those packs at full price is actually disgusting

My sim's family dog stood up like a human and waved to someone yesterday. After that happened I called the adoption agency to come pick her up.😂No more pets for me.
  • I had a lesbian couple get married and have a science baby in an apartment, and it was pretty cute—it was my first time trying family gameplay and I didn’t realize how much the first experience would melt my heart
But you know how apartments had those lot traits that were pretty significant? Well mine had this trait where earth quakes happen pretty often—basically just makes your sims scared or tense sometimes, but there’s this unavoidable bit of autonomy that comes with it where your sims automatically have a “This is IT” reaction (similar to panicking over a fire, it’s just something that happens when there’s an earth quake). Doesn’t sound too bad, right? Right. It’s fine. With adults. My toddler got the autonomous reaction too though
Her limbs all stretched like spaghetti noodles for a solid ten seconds instead of doing the typical generic panicking animation, and then her limbs went back to normal and she went on with her day. This isn’t really a bug in that it ruins my save file or stops the game from working like it did before, but
 it certainly effected my nightmares.

Seasons for me has a major bug with the umbrellas, i don’t know what it is but when sims do any actions in the rain they get stuck opening and closing umbrellas

The Sims 4 is broken from the original code, and everytime the game updates or gets an expansion added it just breaks more. EA is too lazy to even bother fixing it it's really sad.

There is another problem with celebrities on cross-packs level. If celebrity visit your retail, vet clinic or restaurant, then you often can't make work interactions with them. Judit was in my sim's shop and I couldn't do anything except waiting for her to make her mind. Eco living alao have one small bug. Somtimes you can't turn off features. You can disable it at menu, but world still can change, Sims will have enviorment moodlet and townies will be voting fir projekts.

The most annoying thing about bust the dust is that even when you have the dust system turned off, it will randomly turn back on. Then I have to go into settings and turn it ON and then back off again to get the dust to go away đŸ€·â€â™€ïž

Once in City Living, Loud WooHoo noises were coming from the apartment thats just an elder sim and her adult son... i really dont want to think about it.

Being a Modder is such a trip especially after picking up a bunch of stuff during the recent sale, cuz ill be testing my mods for bugs, and ill get a last exception and 'I'm like oh no what did i do wrong?" And it turns out to be literally just EA's own tuning causing it. You also really see all the places they cut corners or got lazy in their own tuning, like meat from cottag living just missing data for the retail system, or going for a jog with your dog not being tagged as a "go for a jog" interaction. Which is important for things like wants and aspirations or things like that. Ranch hand is a whole mess becuase instead of basing if off of maids and gardeners like you'd expect its based on butlers, which already is a buggy npc as it is. Like how hard is it to just make an npc with all the the Ai restrictions of maids and gardeners (which helps them to be the least buggy npc) and have one that focuses on animal care.

In "knifty knitting" there is a bug where sims won't sit anywhere to knit, they'll show an "x" that they can't sit to start knitting. It's not a big bug since it rarely appears, but it still can happen randomly. Also, if you have autonomy on and your sim has knitting supplies in their inventory, be prepared for your sims constantly wanting to knit and spend money on knitting x) Other than that, the pack is fine, I really like it!

South beach in Island Living is cursed. Was there with my sims one night, and suddenly the townies started t-posing on top of the water. And one of my sims disappeared. It was terrifying.

9:55 17:26 adding “my first” to any sims 4 dlc name is the perfect insult 💀

In the Sims 4, once my sim was eating salad and went to pet the cat. Idk how, but the cat model somehow replaced the salad So my sim started walking around with a cat model stuck to her hand

“Annoying but it works” for City Living is extremely generous. What works, exactly? Karaoke doesn’t unless you’re alone, basketball hoops don’t work on foundations, the mouse holes are broken, the festivals are broken, neighbors are broken
And also, I still suspect Seasons as the cause of a lot of the gardening bugs.
  • Omg I was playing around with apartments last night and couldn't figure out why random sims kept walking in! I thought my game in particular was broken. Sims kept coming up to me and asking to be best friends when we hadn't even been introduced yet. Like, wtf. 😅

My wedding stories is the perfect example of why I look at reviews before buying packs. Love the concept of it but because it didn’t even work during the livestream from EA playing the game was all I really needed to know about how appalling it was.

I’m currently in school for computer science and wanna work in video games eventually, so I don’t have any first-hand experience, however, I’d imagine the sims 4 is buggy because it’s built with spaghetti code. Like it’s not organized very well and it’s not modular, so it’s not easy to add or modify stuff. Like in theory, if it’s designed well, they’d have templates for common objects, worlds, and features. They’d just need to reference those templates, and add onto them on a case-by-case basis. It would also be easier to debug if it’s built that way. But it also just depends on what language they used to make the game. Most games aren’t designed very well nowadays unfortunately. EA is also known for being an awful company to work for and the team programming the game are probably just as fed up and burnt out as we are.

Honestly, Dine Out is one of the reasons why I left the sims 4. It’s amazing how they just left it to die with all those bugs
  • @Lovlyb35
Wedding stories should have never been a pack. Wedding was just perfect in the base game, what they could have done was added more wedding items like CAS and cakes for free in an update and left the system alone. When they did that, it broke the wedding altogether. IMHO
