  • Definitely a thumbs-up for the MyFak bag and the concept in general. A couple suggestions: add an additional chest seal (for in/out penetrating chest/back wounds) and decompression needle to address tension pneumothorax (accidental hunting gunshot or arrow wound etc), lube for the nasopharagyl tube (1 or 2 very small packets). Obviously, training would be a pre-req but for your kit I would think these small additional items would be spot-on. Working on a proper reply with my equivalent bag. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for doing this video and for reminding others to practice to the level of training, and to get training. Great video.

That is a nice bag!! Thanks for the show n tell! I have an IFAK that my son gave me and that I have added OTC meds, salves and bandaids to. It is good for now, but I love that kit that you showed! I am looking at the web page now. Thanks for the tips, and keep up the great videos. My wife and I watch you often.
  • I just started making my mom take my trauma kit, first aid kit the small one where you can clip it on your pants and a 250 piece first aid kit too

Great video and totally agree with you on all you said. I will say if you don't know the things you want then going with them with a prestocked bag is great. With that said I have to be honest and say that you can get the exact same bags from amazon (not stocked) for very cheap but then you have to add your own stuff. So if you have stuff already but want a better bag or case I can't see paying their price for just the bags alone (sorry). Also if you are just looking for a storage device check out Nanuk first aid cases on Amazon. They are pretty much like Pelican cases but red with a white cross on them so they are very easy to see and totally weather proof. I will add one thing I believe is great to carry besides what came in your kit is a SAM splint. Easy to use and don't take up a lot of space to carry.

Great video! I'd like to find a wilderness first aid course/training to take.
  • In a bag like this how long are the supplies good for before you should replace them?
