Sounds to me that Grace might have lost someone, be it another horse or her person, and was grieving when they first got her.

Nothing as heart warming as rescued animals being treated right!!!

She likes Scott’s voice.. she listens to his voice..she likes his energy I think.. they’re so in tune to stuff we don’t even notice..

She found her calling, with the help of wonderful people.

That gentleman is a " horse whisperer!" Grace looks loved at both homes. Lucky lady.

When the volunteer and Grace touched foreheads I teared up instantly. So beautiful. Grace looked so happy to be at O.A.T.S
  • SCOTT❕❗️ My gosh, Scott (from O.A.T.S.) you’re a HERO. This is making me cry. I live in Seattle, WA. My older sister (passed 7yrs ago) was physically and mentally developmentally delayed and animals (also babies) were a tremendous joy for her. Many people, with their babies, would be scared of her. For example, in the grocery store, my sister would try to reach out and say hi but mom’s with their kids would pull away, undoubtedly crushing her a bit every time… just like how the kids at school, and everywhere in life, would treat her. This program and Men like Scott gave JOY, true, pure, undeniable, reliably kind, meaningful, experiences for her. I can’t even finish typing this, I miss her and this is hard to talk about, but thank you (ANYONE) who’s kind to people with disabilities. It means the world. The absolute world. ❤

Looks like she lost a friend at the beginning, felt really sorry for her. May she find a new purpose in her forever home ❤️

I keep coming back to this story for some reason. Sweet Grace. So glad she met such a gentle and kind individual to help further build her progress.
  • This happened to pop up and it made me smile. I am an instructor at OATS, and can happily say Grace is thriving and one of the more popular horses on our farm. She carries a few of our clients with dignity. I personally look forward to having her in my classes. She is sweet and gentle, but most of all, she protects her riders with her heart.❤

Beautiful story horses and dogs are a gift of company to man.

With all the good things that these rescue places do, it still breaks my heart when they get a scared, unhappy, malnourished animal all comfortable and blending in, then adopts them out or moves them and it seems that the animal feel abandoned all over again.
  • Gracie would be perfect for therapeutic riding. It is life-changing, at least it is for me.

I grew up with a horse, and anyone who completely understands them has my awe. I still can't read them like some people can. Beautiful creatures.

Doing equestrian therapy was one of the best decisions I've ever made. 🐎 I highly recommend it.
  • @Phlowermom
Sometimes all a lady needs is some time and a safe place to decompress! Thank you for giving her that!

You can tell the quality of a person by the way they treat animals. These are quality people ❤
