Light installation at home! (40)

Published 2020-05-17
This week we're at home with houseof.com and they have kindly sent me up their all time number one best selling ceiling light, Sputnik.

As we work around the house slowly renovating it, it's time to get some lighting arranged. The property had a rewire in 2017 however, most of the electrical accessories, choice of cable routes and positions of switches are sub standard and badly planned.

houseof have exceptional customer service and this spectacular Sputnik ceiling light is our second light we have from them. Check out their website, your house will love you for it.

  • Great video James, great to see you locking out even in your own home! I use the ideal connectors also, seem to be getting more popular, great product.

I laughed when you did safe isolation in your own house :)

Nice install job and every hallway or landing looks better with a Sputnik
  • Nice one, that's a very unusual, simple and elegant electrolier! Wondered why I hadn't heard of you for a while, realised I hadn't hit the bell button... hope alls well.

Great video, completely off topic here but I can't remember which YT spark I follow had the gripe about the Kewprove 3 not having magnets, whereas the older Kewprove 2 did, was it you? I've bugged David and Jordan (it's not them) but no idea if it's you, Chris, DSS or Nick or Gifford's 😂

Would of liked to see the box being wired not just the easy stuff.

Good video but doesn’t you’re area require that junction box under the floor board to be accessible I mean you’re aware of it but what about the next guy ?

Why do all light manufacturers always use that same poxy side screwed bracket assembly. Are threads so hard?
