I’ve been training for over 20 years. I love that you did this video. I used to have clients use “YES” as a verbal marker but find we use that word too often in conversation which is confusing to them. I now use the words “tip” “check” and “ding” - sometimes clients come up with their own unique one syllable broadband sound. Your explanation of the process was really fantastic! If you go back and watch the video and carefully watch the dog at the number of times you say yes where it is not a bridge/marker but just part of your speaking I think I’ll see what I’m talking about. It’s made a very noticeable difference with dogs that sometimes become frustrated during learning due to confusion. I’m glad I found your channel and will absolutely subscribe so that I can refer clients to specific videos that will be helpful for them individually. Thanks for all you do!

Short training sessions a bunch of times a day and touch command great methods. Yes talk on spay and latest yays and nays. We have a SD rescue we have to do next year. Tx, blessings 🙏
  • Hi Rachel! I love your videos! I’m teaching my dog the place command. I’ve watched your video on it. Can you do a video on the free command. I’m struggling on how to release him from place.

Rachel, thank you for all the helpful info on puppies. I would love to know if you have any tips for disabled people and all training or just everyday life with a puppy. My mom is disabled and would love some tips for our new puppy Fiona.

Hi Rachel, I have been watching some of your videos about vaccination and food for dogs. We are having some problems with our dog while we were walking with her. Once the garage door is up, she started to bark and pull. We had trainers came to our house, but it doesn’t seems to work. Anyway, it was a long story. Please advise and demonstrate us what to do with her. 🙏
  • Another very instructive video.. Thank you so much. My dog doesn't accept a treat from someone he doesn't know... I never learned him this behavior however. Curious isn't it ? 😮😊😂

Hi Rachel! My puppy is sitting by her place and staring at me because i'm not giving her a treat. I think she's confused regarding learning to sit and place. Also, could I use touch for release from sit and place in your opinion? Any advice?

Hello Rachel how can I train my 4 month old puppy to go potty in a certain bit of the garden please

hi. i just watched your video about kongs.... i was wondering which size to buy my newly adopted 6 year old pug.... she is small she weighs 5.4kg which the vet says is PERFECT. i just had her spay surgery done and she is currently 5 days post op. im told to keep her from jumping and exercising too vigerously for 2 to 3 weeks. she has bumps on her stitches because.... well.... staying still and resting just doesnt seem to compute... i know she could gain a lot of weight after her type of surgery if im not careful and i was thinking a kong would be good for a low impact activity and fill it with healthy things for her while we eat dinner as she is a foodie.... my question is should i buy her the senior kong and if so which size? i'm torn between small and medium as i want her to be able to get the contents out of it but i obviously want it to be safe. kongs packaging says to get her a small but lots of people seem to say size up... im confused because i dont want sizing up to pose a danger to her but at the same time i dont want to waste money on one she wont be able to get the contents out of thanks 😊 donna
