Thanks for showing the install in detail. I wish they just made the blocks fit without having to grind the gears down. I think I am just going to dish out the money for a Mfactory lsd
  • @kmsthanks
How's it holding up? Also how often do you change your trans oil cause I've heard too often and it'll wear down your trans (I have a k series)
  • @gregaa1830
Nice video 👌 thinking about doing this instead of buying $1000 lsd trans or 700 LSD differential

Thank you for posting this up. Now that you have had it in a while, can you give us a review on how it feels in a straight line and in the corners vs no LSD?
  • Thanks!!! Saving this video. So in total how did this upgrade last? I know it's been posted awhile back. Can't afford real LSD hahaha so I might as well do this.
  • What is the different just welded and putting this block type inside dffrntl ? is that same ?
  • @msham2443
After installed with diff locker, do you use normal Honda manual trans fluid or lsd gearbox fluid.. Just to confirm since I just installed one for b16a gbox. Thanks!

Does anyone know if they have this for a 2007 Chevy Aveo? Or where/how to find that info?
  • @SuperCali661
Is your car still running with this block in the trans?
  • @perjian1697
The problem is the blocks wear down and stop gripping then just start causing a lot of heat from friction of it slipping. A lot of people tried these 15 years ago. Nothing beats a real lsd.

Ok what about the drive shaft input shaft? Are the c-clips able to engage w the block in the way? Shaving the gears; doesn’t that remove the space where the c-clamps lock into place? Or are you just running the drive shafts without the C_clamps ? Thanks for your post btw Also: wouldn’t we also have to shorten the drive shaft ends about the same amount you shaved off the gears and re-cut a place for the c-clamps if the drive shafts hit the block ? My bad lots of questions
  • So does it really work as an LSD would it be a good buy for a rear wheel drive car ?
  • @scottgill7558
What is the spec for clearance on the install with the clips on? Wanting to know how much to take off the gears? What is the max this will expand to?
  • @damianbogle8332
Question instead of shaving the gears... Why not shave the LSD block insert?
  • Don't sand them gears. Just make different locks on convertion kit. 10 min job. Make lock plate hole closer to each other. Put the kit in vice. Take locks out. Close the vice so kit is completely closed, then install new lock and it will fit in no probs

Best explanatory video. I've checked Phantom grips online shop n they stop at 7th gen, I have a boosted 09 8th gen k20z civic, would it work for me?
  • @alexrenault3620
Nice! How long did it last? Can u abuse these? Im racing my Renault in the UK on a budget and wondering how to get a cheap lsd......
  • @Lilmiddwest
I would though honda transaxle would be easier then Hyundai Tiburon to install LSD.
  • @dc-gm9tm
You had to shave gears? For what the block costs, phantom should have made this a perfect fit. I just got one for my legend and I hope I don't have to modify the gears
