I am African, staying in Botswana, Africa. I loved this show since I first saw it more than twenty years ago. "The Boutique residence the lady of the house speaking", love that one. Hyacinth, Richard and Onslow are my favorites.😂😂😂

Next to "I Love Lucy", this is my second absolute favorite show! Some shows are just classic. Patricia Routledge is a great actress. (She also was a teacher with Sidney Poitier, in "To Sir With Love", a great movie.) Her prim and proper lady of the house, routines just crack me up. Though I must say, poor Richard has the patience of a Saint, to be married to her. I still enjoy watching reruns. I'm American, and there is nothing like good old fashioned British humour!

i watched for the first times in 1999, laughing lots. and now in a kind of difficult time i re-watch the series . So Hilarious and cosy! You keep the spirits! Thanks for all great Actors who performed and made it very real . Love you

I lived in England in 1999 for little over a year. This is so true in spirit! I loved my time there. Not sure how it is today. Back in USA, our values have fallen. I hope there is still a modicum of manners still left in England. I loved Betty’s Tea Room. I lived in Ilkley.

In my opinion British Humour has always been my most favourite TV programmes for over 50 years.
