Kintaro, a three-year-old male gorilla.
He has grown up a lot, eating a lot of food, but he still wants his mommy's breasts.
He tried to drink from Mama Genki's breast again this day, but Genki didn't seem to want him to drink much.
However, Kintaro did not give up. At the end of the day, he was able to drink from his mom's breast, and he looked very happy.

This video was taken atkyoto city zoo Feb 2022.

Always sweet Genki with her baby 😍😍

Kintano is a big boy now. He seeks mlk from Genki as appetizer because after milking he grabs food and rushes upstairs to enjoy his meal alone at the high table.

He still wants that closeness with Mommy.🤗🍬❤👶🦍&🌺🦍

Gorillas like humans and orangutans have long childhoods. In my reading/watching vids (I've turned into an old lady gorillaphile to survive the pandemic 🤗) gorillas captive and wild usually wean between ages 3 and 4. However, it is not unusual to see youngsters 5 to 7 yrs occasionally ask for and receive a suckle especially during a stressful situation. Kintaro will be out of sorts for awhile, but he'll survive and he is surrounded by a tight family unit for support and safety.

Aww...poor Kintaro. I feel for him but he does eat well and gets plenty of nutrition. I think his breast feeding is more of a security thing with Genki. On the lighter side, Genki says: "More over son, it's time for a baby sister." Lets hope!
  • I noticed more and more that Genki stops him from breastfeeding. I guess she's started whining him off.
  • Aww the joys of motherhood lol. I think someone is pregnant and it's definitely not me! Congratulations Genki! Kintaro is not going to be happy when there is a new baby lol. At least he will have his brother who had to go it alone himself not long ago.
  • Muy bellos Genki es una gran mamá Kintaro un bebé travierezo ya Genki está muy desgastada parió muy adulta no deben dejarla tener más hijos tiene su vientre muy grande porque sera
  • He's too old to be nursing. It appears that he can forage and get around very well, his mom has a soft spot for her big boy.

I remember those days. I nursed all my children until they were over one year's old and it is tough to say no more. ALL gone only to have a new baby to arrive and they got my milk.
  • Kintaro is so cute and for denial by genki must have been hard to do,but 👋 we all have to grow up some time.
  • It’s a comfort thing for KinKin now, not a need thing. He eats his food just fine. Kinkin and Mommy just need that comfort that breastfeeding gives them ♥️ but if he keeps biting mommas nipples, he may end up on a liquid diet for a few months and I don’t mean the breast milk kind. She gonna smack him hard one of these days ☹️
  • Kintaro is going to hate having to become independent from his mother. He relies on her so heavily. Which can be a good & a bad thing. Depending on the situation.
  • Me alegra ver a Mamá y Kintaro separados de Momo y Gentaro. Así pueden comer más tranquilos. 😍👍👍👍

It appears that Ginki is allowing Kentaro to suckle. 4+ years old is about the age mom's ween babies in the wild. Kentaro is 3.2 years old. A little soon. I love this family ❣️

Se per Kintaro prendere il latte lo rende sereno, sicuro e soprattutto molto energico, allora vuol dire che questa vicinanza con la mamma le fa bene. W il latte per Kintaro!💪❤️🍀❤️
