I was just in Spokane for a conference last month. I walked around and took pictures of the grand buildings. Was getting the eerie feeling that these building and bridges were there long before the re-population.

I’m so trilled that your Jr explorer joined you tonight. Some of those photos reminded me of Pittsburgh with the water falls next to the buildings. In every photo that they show of their “Great Fire” what is left of the brick buildings are always in the shape of a triangle, 🤔.

Very, very interesting. I've been to Spokane 3 times (pre awakening), and always thought it was a nice little city. The Davenport Hotel in particular. I noticed the early history of Spokane is quite similar to Calgary. David Thompson, Hudson Bay Trading Company/Northwest Trading Company and the great fire (of course!) The color picture of a school is the old North Central High School. I went there in 1976. The photo labeled North Central High School is actually South Central High school which was replaced by Lewis and Clark High School which still stands today.
