  • There's Dante's "Inferno"...a masterpiece of literature. Then there's Neil's masterpiece..."Like a Hurricane".

Neil's lead guitar just tears my soul to shreds ❤❤❤❤

I've loved this since I first heard it when I was 17. I'm now 62!

"That perfect time when time just slips away"- such a great line.

Young people hear me! If you are relaxed, and you place this vynil or the Live Rust version on the record player, and you turn it up so loud that you can't hear the cops banging on the door, and you forget about your phone, and you just LISTEN, your life will be changed for the better. It is truly an incredible event. Try it. You'll thank me I am sure of it. I did so in 1977 and will always remember the amazing feeling itngave me.

I love the distortion Neil throws in at 3:55 . The guitar here rivals anything Hendrix did imo, what Neil does here is so diverse and layered it's mind blowing. I wanna hear someone play the guitar in this song chord for chord and tone for tone, I've heard some nice covers but not even close to exact. Guitar sounds like birds in many parts, it's beautiful .
  • Throughout, Neil Young has been uncompromising. He followed his musical sense where ever it took him. and created many beautiful songs along the way. A very long and illustrious career, never allowing himself to be categorized, never submitting to popular taste, never letting record companies stand in his way. The results are self-evident.

After all these years it still gives me the goosebumps.

Nobody can touch Neil when it comes to guitar ability. He's just on a different level. There's others who are AS good as he is, but, nobody's better.
  • Simply one of Neil's best songs ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
  • Neil could play better lead solo's on 4 strings than most guitarists can on 6!!!!

I remember hearing this for the first time, it was on the radio and it totally blew me away. A few days later i bought the American Stars and Bars album. That was in the late 1980s. I've now got over 30 of Young's albums, plus all of Buffalo Springfield's albums. A master at work.

I had the privilege of seeing Neil and the Horse just a little over a week ago on May 11. They sounded fantastic.
  • This song made me hypnotic and changed my sight to all the really important themes of time. He is a Legend.

As someone in the UK, on 'American Stars & Bars' release, I recall Alan Freeman on his BBC Radio One FM Saturday afternoon show get this requested the hell out of. Evergreen.
