I drew these bananas using complementary colour underpainting techniques(using coloured pencil), this way I was able to establish a great starting point to achieve correct tonal values and create a balanced image.

Faber-Castell Polychromos 107, 111, 138, 170, 194, 219, 249, 280

Holbein 476 sea fog

Paper: Saunders Waterford hp watercolour paper

    I love the results. I do have to say the first pair of bananas look more appetizing. Both have a realistic almost photographic look.
