This first run perfectly shows how the Thunderbolts aren't like the Suicide Squad at all, like many people usually say. Yes, they are group of super villain doing the "heroic stuff" but, unlike the Suicide Squad, the Thunderbolts truly want to redeem themselves and become heroes. Their story is more about redemption while Suicide Squad are more about topics such as goverment corruption, with characters like Amanda Waller forcing the villains to work for them.

With all those versions of Mach I'm shocked we haven't seen a big Mac enter the Thunderbolt yet ha ha.😄 Didn't know of the majority of the members apart from Ogre and beetle. Great watch as usual.🙂

I wish the MCU Thunderbolts had some resemblance to this run. At least a couple of these characters. To me, there's little point in The Thunderbolts without Moonstone at least.

I wonder if the Omnibuses included the convoluted number scheme they did on the volume one run of the title? It's kind of dumb. It goes from issue 0 to issue 81 as Thunderbolts. Then at issued 82 they rename it New Thunderbolts, and go to issue 18. Then they drop the new and call it Thunderbolts again at issue 100 and go to issue 160 something I believe, then after that, they rename it to Dark Avengers until it ends at 180 something or 190 something. I have all the flopies for Thunderbolts and I have the trades for New Thunderbolts. I don't have any of the Dark Avengers or any of following volumes after one.
