While I suspect that some form of aid for Ukraine will pass the House, it will be in a different form than the bill the Senate has already passed. So that means the package goes back to the Senate and they vote on the revised package, and if that process amends what the House passes there will be a reconciliation committee involving House and Senate members to iron out something that both houses can accept. So expect that it will take at least 3 or 4 weeks from when the House passes something until the bill actually gets to President Biden's desk for signature.

One day future generations will look back at this period of western democracies shaking their heads

Ukraine loses a power generator. The inaction is a crime

From The Netherlands, excellent, comprehensive, professional, very informative and well narrated. Thanks for helping to keep the world conscious of the truth!!
  • Jake Broe's YT videos illustrate how devious Mike Johnson truly is. This is simply the appearance of effort on Ukraine support. The Senate has to pass with 60% and any amendments require Johnson to vote again. This is all about Delay and Distract, Trump's expertise.

It doesn't matter what Mike Johnson SAYS.
  • What do we have to do? I live in a country(Ireland) which chooses cowardice over action. We condemn Israel forcefully, but not Russia. My frustration is absolute. We sit at the edge of Europe, where vast lengths of cables lie, below a vast sea whereupon many other resources lie. Yet we have no real Navy, Air force, radar, or any real defenses. I despair.

Not sure a vote in Congress slighly different to the existing positive vote by the Senate does anything more than send it back to the Senate for more weeks of waiting?
  • I am in Washington now as a delegate with the Ukraine Action Summit, Razom for Ukraine, 500 committed Ukraine activists. We are accompanied by the mothers of American volunteer soldiers who died heroes defending freedom and Ukraine. We met individually with the Representative of about 49 states. * We hope and believe that the breakthrough is coming in our Congress. It feels like it is, and it must. Capitol Hill is brimming with the energy of a breakthrough. (Greg, from a bar on Capitol Hill full of Ukrianians, singing songs of victory, full of pain, yet hopeful. Washington DC 4-16-2024)

'Amoeba tactics', yes I noticed that, very apt description.
  • Dom, in the US the best thinking is still that if we can get a Ukraine vote to the House floor, it will pass. And any bill now is better than standing still. I'm sure the mood couldn't be worse no matter where one is sitting, but here there is a sense that Republicans will vote on Ukraine Aid in some form. Our Progressives are uniformly refusing to sign the Discharge Petition, which is incredibly discouraging and perhaps seals the fate of the original Senate Foreign Aid Supplemental. This means time will be wasted, again.. The press conference with the mothers of the fallen soldiers went out on Reuters, AP, Fox, VOA. Gold Star mom Allison Nevinson, mother of hero Jehrico, was particularly moving.
  • When the tide turns, as it will, we will breathe a sigh of relief, as the news begins to change for the better. Well done chaps! Your perseverance is already legend, as your ratings keep rising.

Stockholders in the Uniparty prepare to cash in again. More tax dollars to Raytheon.

Ukraine needs plenty of long-range recon drones and attack drones with long loitering times that can operate in the face of Russian electronic warfare (EW), i.e. jamming and spoofing. Ukraine also needs anti-radiation loitering munitions to take out SHORAD vehicles, SAM radars, EW systems and counter-battery radars.
