You can show this game to someone whose never watched baseball before, and they would be on the edge of their seat biting their nails

As a die hard Cub fan for 40 years, watching this game will always make me cry tears of joy.

Arguably the greatest world series game in history.

Watching this as the entire core has left us today. Gonna miss these guys.

I'm sure Chapman was the most excited out of all of them when that final out happened. He was about to be the most hated man in Chicago lol

Probably the greatest baseball game I’ve watched

i come back and watch this hundreds of times.. chills every single time
  • Watching Fowler hit that home run immediately in the 1st brought back memories of Hester running it back on the opening kickoff in the Super Bowl. I was scared shitless after that... but this one worked out....
  • I was in Chicago for game 4 of this series, with a group of friends who flew in from as far as Switzerland. We didn't have tickets, just hung out in Wrigleyville and experienced the madness of 10 blocks of streets being blocked off in all directions with just throngs of people in the street just waiting to explode. That game was a heartbreaking loss, but a great time with great people. 3 days later sitting in a bar I'd never been to with another group of friends, we witnessed the most dramatic game 7 in the history of the series. The rain delay (not featured in this highlight footage) really increased the tension at the time. Being a Wednesday, everyone had to work the next day, and half the bar left early when the delay happened. The rest of us did as true Cubs fans do and drank our worries away. A memorable moment in baseball history, celebrated with good friends and total strangers.

Probably one of the best if not the best game 7 of a world series I ever watched!!!

I come back to watch this clip often, and now that my Pops has passed away it brings on more significance. He, fortunately, was able to attend the White Sox WS games in 2005 and he went to 2 Cubs WS games in 2016. He and I talked constantly while game 7 was going on, calling excited, nervous, never giving up hope because we just knew that the Cubbies were going to pull it off. I miss my Pops and our conversations but this video reminds me of him and our love for our hometown.

Cards fan here, I tip my cap to the cub fans and the Cubs organization. Y’all balled out that year 💯

Came here after the massive fire sale- Nobody will ever take this WS away from us. It’ll always be in our minds and hearts until the end of time. Thank you Bryzzo, Javy, Schwarber, and all the rest of the legendary 2016 Cubs. -sincerely, all of Chicago

I cant tell you how emotional this game was. After the '08 season when everyone thought it was the Cubs' "destiny" to win the World Series after a 100 year drought, after the close games and shit that had happened in the postseason, after being down 3-1 and most people counting us out, after giving up that lead with 2 outs in the 8th inning like that. When I saw that ball get hit directly towards Bryant, and I saw him scoop it up and throw it over to Rizzo I jumped out of my seat and screamed one of the loudest screams I've ever screamed, lol. Holy LORD that was one HELL of a way to end a World Series. Im SO glad the Cubs were able to win, especially after so long. Whats insane is the Indians had the SECOND longest drought in the MLB too. So either way, an extremely long drought was going to end. Im just SO happy that it was my Cubs that got the W.

As a Royals fan I still get the same chills from watching this that I got from watching my guys win it all in 2015. Baseball was made for these moments :)
  • Chapman shutting them down in the ninth was key. He stepped up and held them down.
  • As a die hard Cubs fan, I can watch this over and over again and never get tired and feel the same feeling I felt that very day my Chicago Cubs finally won the World Series

Go cubs. Followed cubs since i knew what baseball was. Happy new year from Australia.
