This was my wife’s favorite song. We saw him in concert and she went up to the front when he played this song and handed him her cowboy hat. He wore it while he played the song and then handed it back to her. The local paper took a picture of it. She was a wonderful woman and I miss her greatly. RIP

One of the most beautiful songs Willie has ever done. I was fortunate enough to get to talk to Willie in a Mexican restaurant in Tucson when he was filming The Highwaymen. The restaurant was an old house. Willie was so humble and kind. They didn’t treat him like a VIP at all! He was still standing there waiting for a table when I left! He probably got our table! I’m not sure they even knew who he was. Can’t believe that over six hundred people put thumbs down on this! They must be tone deaf!
