Am I the only one who thinks that this movie got unnecessary hate. I mean I understand the cast is old but after watching this trailer, I think the acting, the chemistry, the dialogues, everything is going to be perfect. The story actually makes more sense with them being a bit mature

The guy playing Atlas was what i imagined her husband would look like.

From someone who didn't read the book, i think the movie seems great and really heart-wrenching. I do understand how it may be hard for readers since the characters are not what they imagined. However, i think it's fair to give the movie a chance!

Whoever it is, the Atlas in my imagination would be someone who will treat and provide Lily with all the best things he could ever.

Justin Baldoni playing Ryle is imo excellent casting. The whole point of Ryle is to highlight that abuse comes from those who we least expect it which in turn contributes to the vicious cycle. Justin himself addresses topics like toxic masculinity and misogyny through his man enough podcast and I think the choice of him not just to direct but to play a character such as Ryle further shows that it really can happen to anyone. It reminded me of casting choices from Promising Young Woman where there were intentional casting decisions to further the message of that movie.

Atlas is good. But damn, I had a different one in my head 😢

it actually looks so good. they seem a little too old but i genuinely like the casting it looks very realistic

blake lively looks gorgeous with ginger hair! i don't care what everyone says - i know we were all hoping for a younger actress for lily - but blake is an amazing actress and i'm sure will do the character justice
