James The Red Engine's Theme - Extended (Series 1)

This is an extension of James' Jazzy Theme that was only used in Series 1, it's easily one of the best themes that O'Donnell and Campbell composed. Now the context behind this extension is that many beleuve that James's Theme was based off of Henry Busse's 'Busse Bounce' where the first 4 bars sound identical to the the start of James' Theme. So 'Kumata' commissioned me to combined both together.

This actually sounds like something you would have heard a big band playing in the 30s and 40s! I loved the anticipation I felt waiting for the familiar tune to come in.

I love it! The early section is a perfect blend of Busse Bounce and the S1 James intruments. Wish we'd heard more of this theme (or variants) in the series proper. Just the jazzy theme James deserves :D Thank you again for this!

I can't tell what is most amazing to me, but the extension just sounds so natural! I absolutely love it! Can't believe I came to this trying to find the TTTE track TomSka used in one of his vids. Definitely staying for the jams.

I did not know this had an extended version!!! OH MY GOSH I WAS JUST JAMMING OUT SO HARD!!! I came looking for the shorter version and boy was I pleasantly surprised!! Yeah, I'm gonna be playing this on repeat for the next few days!!🤣🤣
