Terrific video. Great blend of irreverence, insight, and optimism. We are so fortunate to have empathic and compassionate physicians like him.
  • Omg this video legitimately made me tear. It has always been my dream to become a Dermatologist. I was really affected with my acne growing up and I think it’s one of the hardest things I’ve overcame. I also dream of living in NYC. You are truly an inspiration and I will follow you along your path! I am going to apply to medical schools this spring :)
  • love the way you are so humble , and still remembering allah in peak of success . your praying scene was heart touching
  • 🤣 love your sense of humour, definitely made my Monday! It’s a delight to be subscribed to yours & Shireen’s channels. I’d love to see more daily routines and experiences in NYC. Thanks for sharing this with us Usama and I wish you all the best! May Allah give you barakah in all your endeavours.
  • Thank you for being the beacon of light to those who are following in your journey and also to those of us who are at the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I am very proud of both you and your lovely wife, its thanks to her that I even saw this lol Keep spreading the ocean of wisdom and waves of humour. Sending greetings and gratitude from Namibia 🇳🇦

This video is so positive I love it 😭 I love how optimistic you are and how you describe Central Park. I’ve lived in queens and visited Manhattan frequently since I was born and it’s nice but I never really appreciated it that much. New York is just so expensive. Unless you have a lucrative job it’s financially stressful. I was thinking of moving but I can’t see myself away from family and friends. It’s nice to see others really enjoying New York life though
  • You’re so presence is so genuine and lighthearted mashaAllah. I’m a first year med student who is also interested in derm and you are a such a big inspiration to me.

Thank you brother for your educational channel, thanks to this I began to take care of my skin. Keep making videos and educating people!
  • Oh man. It’s so refreshing to see a doctor acknowledge hydradinitis suppurativa. I was diagnosed with it a few years ago after horrible symptoms for so long. It took two dermatologists to finally get the diagnosis and get mine under control. What a horrific condition.
  • @akilak297
This was such a good video! I’d love to know more on why you choose dermatology as your specialization after med school. I’m a first year human kinetics student and I’m contemplating whether to go to chiro school or go to med school and be a cosmetic dermatologist. I really appreciate to know your reasons and what the process was like to getting there!
  • @NoorKhan-ts6cp

Salam! Recently subscribed but really enjoyed this video! As a med student considering derm, this was very insightful! I would love to see more videos on your life in NYC, tips for matching into competitive specialties, and why you chose derm (and what other specialties you were deciding between and how you ultimately decided).
