Today's adventure is an overnight stay at The Cromwell, on what may be the most happening corner in Las Vegas: Flamingo Road and Las Vegas Boulevard. We'll do a room and casino tour; we'll have Sunday brunch at the beautiful Giada restaurant (with a window view!); and check out the brand new Ole Red Las Vegas, across the street - 4 floors of country music, and incredible balconies! This is one action-packed Sunday...join us Riiiight Now!

Our thanks and gratitude to Shae, who gifted us his comp room at The Cromwell, and made this video possible. :)

Kudos to Shae from a fellow Saskatchewanìan, for gifting Paula and Dale with The Cromwell staycation!

I think you two have such a life experience worth sharing. I’m happy to hear from you both each week… you are the grandparents of LV!

Loved the Barbary Coast. It was a special place on the strip for sure! Who could forget Big Elvis? A very nice guy! I have not been to the Cromwell. The last time I was in Las Vegas (2006) it was Bill's Gamblin' Hall and Saloon
  • Ah, the old Barbary Coast, one of Mchael Gaugahns first hotels, had a great mentor in his father, Jackie. They had great service there, I remember Big (Pete Vallee) Elvis singing at the casino Bar, there, it was always full, very entertaining. The place is small, but it seemed very cozy, now it's not bad but it seems colder, more institutional, a bit less friendly. Great stuff guys, thank you very much Dale, thank you very much Paula, you two are the best!
  • So nice of fellow Canadian Shae to gift you a stay at The Cromwell!!!! And the breakfast at Giada’s looked absolutely delicious 😍 Also, I’m not a big sweets person, but I do like Coffee Crisp and I had NO idea that they didn’t have them in the USA! Scott and I will have to bring you another bag of Coffee Crisp chocolate bars when we come back in December ❤️

I miss the Barbary Coast! It was a great casual place. We used to grab a couple hotdogs in the casino and then see Big Elvis perform and now breakfast costs almost $80. Cromwell isn’t my kind of place, but it was nice to see what it’s like.

Thanks for the great tour I really enjoyed it! Those framed chips from the Tropicana are a great gift wow!
  • OMG, a Vegas room with a coffee maker! I totally love the look of that room with the deep purple and what a great Strip location. 💜

I used to love staying at both the old Barbary Coast and Bill's Gamblin' Hall. Right on the Strip, clean rooms, $9.99 sirloin steaks, cheap prices (I once stayed 6 nights for $150 total!), and Big Elvis in the lounge! Those were the days.
  • @busterbud
A great video of the latest in Las Vegas from you this morning, and then tonight it will be a look back at Vegas history in a new episode of CNN's series, "Vegas: The Story of Sin City." What a combo! 😀
  • Really enjoying showing
  • Your videos are always top! They're so beautiful and so clear! Top quality 👌👏👏👏🤩💯

My first ever stay and gamble was at the Barbary Coast!! I often wish when properties go through their remodels and such that the new version keeps some rooms and features as they were under the old. I'd check into a throwback/vintage room for sure.
