"Their air defence is not properly coordinated or very effective in Crimea...Russia cannot actually defend this place."

Ukraine will make Crimea untenable and force Putin's Black Sea Fleet out of Sevastopol if Russian air defences don't improve, says Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges.

An interviewer who knows how to ask a good question and then actually listens to the answer and doesn’t interrupt. Feels rare these days, but is solid gold.

I continue to be impressed by Kate - she is one of the very best interviewers out there. Meticulously prepared, short but relevant context, very clear and precisely targeted questions, complete sentences. And what’s most satisfying in her style is that once she asks a question, she stops talking! Even very good interviewers continue to prattle on after the question mark - while we want to hear the answer.

This is as good as it gets. The best interviewer in Western media talking to the most knowledgable and thoughtful military expert in the US.

Both interviewer and interviewer are good and I always like to hear what General Hodges has to say.

If the admiral was alive, why wouldn't they just send a TV camera crew to record him saying he is fine and uninjured?
  • Ben Hodges has a big book on his shelf about Vermeer. He is not just a military man, one who is helping us all to know what is happening in Ukraine. He is also a man who is interested in great art. It is good to know Ben Hodges and also to be grateful for his contribution to us.

I just dont understand why they only interview Gen B. HODGES once a month. He should be interviewed on a weekly bases. It is a crime not to do so
  • @ajchurchill
Absolutely wonderful interviews. I wish you guys would run the audio through a compressor/limiter and raise its volume, though
