Ugliest? Compared to the new BMWs this thing is beautiful.
  • @Platypus_Warrior
You can tell the guy feels bad for his car over heating. It's OK man, safety first and I guess it's an easy fix anyways. Thanks for showing up
  • @Ruskinek
Was a pleasure experiencing the ring with you. I am currently working on a lot of upgrades, including the much needed cooling. Maybe you can stress test it if all is done :D
  • @zic1411
That megane R26 in front was a rocket.

A Compact 325ti 6 Speed Manual Sport with the Purple Tag Rack as standard is BMW's under rated bargain. Marc Gene called them a Baby M3 when interviewed by AutoCar in 2014 after driving their long term test car....his daily was an E46 M3.
  • @nihiabstracto
I love to see the fear of the passengers on the first braking and cornering.
  • @jools182
I had a 325ti compact, it looked good. Much better than what BMW have been doing for the last few years
  • @alinclaudiu4754
One thing that very few people know is that the Compact is immune to the rear-subframe cracks that the rest of the E46 range (more powerful models) are prone to.
  • @cvwright
Just as I was thinking about selling my project Compact. Thank you Misha for this one!
  • @DimZin
The Compact isn't ugly at all. I think BMW fans are used on longer chassis that's why they hate it. There's a 1000+ hp awd one here in Greece.
  • @YootubeUK
Sounds amazing, handles great! I couldn't live with the looks of the E46 compact myself and got a coupe. Same track and wheelbase as the coupe. The modern BMW's make the compact less and less ugly!
  • @andylaauk
Personally I always liked the E46 compact, but then I did like the E36 compact as well.
  • @lmartinmiami82
I like it, with M pack it looks good. The mods are incredible. Congrats to the owner.
  • @kpsig
I want one, now. I did not know that such a conversion with no rear seats would be road legal here in Germany!
  • @honda4185
This reminds of the swedish Bmw E46 M3CSL (LOADED) that broke the lap record 7.22min many years ago!!! The Compact looks very good.!!!
  • @dent_drifter
Finally a compact on your channel. What a nice machine!^^
  • @tomellingham8627
We have a motorsports series in the UK called BMW Compact Cup. They are all very lightly modified e46 318 compacts..tbey look great sliding around on rear wheel drive and produce some great racing.

I do not agree that it is THE ugliest BMW, but i am not completely neutral having owned 320td (the 150 hp version). It has to have the M sport package to look less dull, but that goes for the sedan as well. The right colour also helps. The 'frog eyes' on the front give the car character in my opinion. Furthermore it is practical and not too common.
