The Pitt Panthers downed the North Carolina Tar Heels, 30-23 in an overtime battle. Pitt improves to 8-2 on the season with the win. Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett threw for 346 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win. For the Tar Heels, quarterback Sam Howell threw for 296 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 28 yards and a touchdown.

    As for your comment on 31 pts should win, sure against MIN, IOW, IND, or NEB. This is LSU. They average 45ppg. They put up 49 Ole Mis, 49 MIZ, 28 ALA, 24 FSU. Those are top 10 teams all with Elite defenses. That 24pts was their lowest output all season. You're not holding LSU to 21pts. I thought 30 might win it, turns out it was 36. Everybody scored on LSU this year. They just fired their entire def coaching staff. The offense needed to do more, there was nothing else the defense could do. For ref MIZ has 6 guys on def that will get drafted. 2 CBs, 1 S, 2 DE, 1 DL. They have other NFL guys they just aren't eligible for the draft yet. Along with Blake Baker at DC. The only reason LSU didn't put up 60 is JD wasn't playing. 31 isn't enough to win. It won't be against ORE, ALA, WAS, OSU, USC, etc. in the years to come either.

    I noticed Pickett hangs his WR's out to dry a bit. His high, slow to get there, floaters, give the defensive backs time to "tee off" on receivers. I liked to see more zip and accuracy in those situations.
