I feel like a Portal and Half Life movie would work if they were re-imaginings of the games' plots. That way, even the original gamers can be surprised by the stories of the films.

Hey guys. In this vid i explore JJ Abrams' storytelling style and how that syncs up with Valve's approach. Enjoy.
  • you make me envy with your editing skills, it's like a mini documentary
  • @Doran.
Ooof, this take on Abrams has not held up well for me. Not since Rise of Skywalker…

You're so underrated. Your production skills are seriously astonishing, and you deserve so much more attention. Thank you for making these videos, and I hope you continue to do so.

What I love about this video - all of your videos really - is the clarity in what you want to bring across and by that the context you give to all of the snipets from other videos. I watched the JJ Abrams video where he just swipes for the next question and did not get the essence of that gesture at all even after watching your video. With your content it just really all comes together into a congruent summary of the core essence of what it is all about. I really enjoy all of your videos so much! Thanks for sharing your amazing work! ❤️ The last part of the video
  • "What are stories but mystery boxes?" Lol this actually explains a lot about Abrams. The problem is that many times, his mystery boxes just turn out to be empty. P.S. On a related note, Rise of Skywalker was a giant POS.

Seriously amazing content as always. Keep up the incredible work! I look forward to you getting the recognition you deserve.
  • By the way, huge respect for combining Sigur Rós and Portal. Two fantastic pieces of artwork

The problem is with JJ Abrams that he is not bussy awsnering questions, only asking them. There is no catharsis when he finished, it feels often just lame.
