As a retired divorce attorney, fewer than five minutes into this video, I would advise getting a restraining order against both your mother and your sister.

This guy is def not a jerk, he wasn't close with that side of the family and didn't really know them after he started living with his dad, its his house and he was defending it

The reason mom got $1,000 was a way to legal recognize that she potentially had a claim to his assets and show the court that he had not forgotten about her. Keeps her less likely to sue his estate as well. Smart dad.

Why is she not giving up her house to her daughter if she is that concerned

this guy is honestly so strong for standing up for himself like that. he has such an awful family with the exception of his father

These two ladies should be in prison. Period.

He definitely is not a jerk. He is an inspiration for all who have delt with family like this. He is a HERO in my book.

As someone that grew up in an extremely abusive household; when I heard the part where she slapped him and he backhanded her in return I practically jumped up cheering.
  • I don't know why but the him slapping his mother was satisfying to read
  • Damn! What a legend dad. The best example of raising a child even after getting betrayed by spouse. Hats off to the dad.

I got so pissed at the part where the mother is like "I bought you into this world and I have control of you" that's by far I remember her saying it and I got so satisfied when he slapped her back 😌

When talking about how much the sister inherited we don't know their family dynamic we don't know how she acted towards her father but from what the brother described their situation i definitely understand why the father gave most of what he had to his son and not to her

I can remember sitting with my ex, her mom, sister and 18 year old niece. They're all terribly self centered, and were talking about the mother's BF making good money but not spreading it around enough. These were adults, three of which had ZERO justification for receiving anything from him, and yet you'd think he was downright evil. I was horrified, and probably looked as much. The mom looked at me and said "Don't worry, we'd never talk about you like this" with a mischievous smile. I've never felt the presence of evil so strong in my life. They were a coven, manipulating and using men for their pleasure to be discarded once their use wore out. Thank God I got the hell away from them. My stomach and heart thanked me the moment I left...

I’m glad that his girlfriend wasn’t just standing there doing nothing and actually helped the situation.
  • Imagine having a dad as cool as that, bruh giving his son almost everything he had, showed a lot of trust and faith in the guy

This story hit hard, thanks for sharing and affirming what I have learned through difficult experiences - toxic relatives need very firm boundaries. I have a very toxic sister who is still waging a campaign to move into the house my father left me and my mom. I don't know she believed that she could show such pure hatred for her relatives and still feel we owe her something. Narcissistic lunacy can be so draining, you have to keep your distance from them even if they're family.
