  • Blended learning in the classroom is a wonderful concept. Enjoyed the explanation.
  • Thanks Micheal: The models are perhaps the most useful: Lab rotatation, class roation, Flex and Pod and you talks about changes in the teacher's roles (including the emergence of discrete roles to support students organised in Pods). You mention that teachers find ..." a link to some evidence sources for this would be helpful, especially some research based and/or systematic collection and analysis.
  • I chose this video because, while I believe it is an introduction ad for a technology product, it gives a good explanation of blended learning. I also liked that it shows models of different classroom setups and explains how they could work. According to the video, blended learning can assist with differentiated learning, lets students work at own pace, get real time feedback on their progress (ISTE -T2a,b,c) (TCK1). One of the benefits of blended learning is that students are more engaged and involved in their learning. I don't think that the models the video shows would be applicable to my visual arts classroom, but perhaps with some adaptations some aspects could work for my classroom.
  • Excellent introduction video on the different blended learning models.
  • Thank you very much for bringing this up! I'll apply it in my class. :)
  • @JerryOvermyer
Very nice, concise explanation of blended learning! Great animations!
  • Thank you for giving us the overview on how a blended learning be conducted. Very clear presentations.

Wow, I took a 6 weeks course and understood absolutely nothing, and by simply watching your 6-minute video taught me everything I need to know. Thank you so much for clarifying. =)

Thak you for the video, I'm actually making a presentation for my master's degree about blended learning and it helped a lot.

I love my blended class. I can do a lot of stuff on my computer and it makes me want to do it more than handwriting something out. I feel like it helps me more. We also can take notes on laptops during class and for a person with messy handwriting that helps me. We only have to go to class 2 days a week and the other days we get to go home an hour early. It makes me really enjoy the class more and be ready to learn more. It is also an A.P. so it will show me skills for college

Great work ,could I know what is the app you have used?
  • Hi this is a very interesting concept. Where can I get more info. I believe this is also applicable here in the Philippes.

  • At the fourth-grade level, we struggle just to get 30 people logged on at once. If I were to be teaching a small group while other students (say a dozen) were supposed to get on the computers themselves for a task, my small group would get interrupted with students who can't log on. If I had a parent help with the logging on, that might work. I am keeping an open mind, but without a dedicated technology manager, helper or teacher this concept might be doomed. A small group on computers, however, could work. Also, at my grade level, this working with 27 students might be possible. But 34 like I had last year? Nope..
