On this early offensive drive, the defender attempts to get into the path of the offensive player. While he doesn't appear like he will get legal before contact occurs, the offensive player uses his forearm and extends to create space. This overt act is the elephant on this play in my opinion. Had the offensive player not extended his arm, the defender would certainly be at risk for a blocking foul as he is not legally in the path of the offensive player.
