The sad part about wrongful convictions (blinders by police) is that the general public try and convict without any evidence, just on hearsay.
-
This case deserves massive federal oversight, and Greg needs a substantial financial compensation! He should take his case to the Supreme Court of Canada!
-
Wow, what a story. I feel so bad for Greg’s horrific experience back then. So glad to see him rise up and above all that to succeed in life and raise a good kid. 👏
-
What a horrible ex childhood friend. So evil and should have been given 1st degree. That was so wrong. May she RIP. Condolences to family

Innocent and sent to prison is one thing. Innocent and sent to prison for brutally stabbing and killing your MOTHER is another!! How horrific to find her and have that image permanently in his brain. Did he have ANYBODY other than Tina support him??? Grand parents, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends?? Poor guy. How awful that would be. I think he has a better attitude than I would have after enduring all this.
-
What an amazingly loyal girlfriend and eventual wife. I would think most relationships would not survive this process. Kudos to both.
-
I saw this story covered previously, and I am infuriated with the cops and the Crown that put an innocent man behind bars. They wore blinders and didn't look at anyone else. Look what happened to Guy Paul Morin. I hope Greg sued the crap out of the city.
-
This couple, the love and trust they have for eachother, I'm so glad. ❤
-
Clearly not guilty.......hope he sues them all

Whenever there's a case that has turned out crappy, it always comes down to a crappy police work. And hands up everybody who knew from the get-go that it was Brian 🙋🏻♀️ And where were the throngs of rabid reporters for Brian's non-trial? For any of his court appearances?? Invisible. Absolutely shameful.

A terrible injustice and I hope Greg got a good payout for the wrong done to him, and I hope Doye spends the rest of his life in jail, the police were so easy on him, it is crazy...is that the justice system Canadians havew...
-
An apology??? I wouldn't be able to sleep at night, being one of the people, who convicted the young man... He found his mom, in that way, and was still in shock, and grieving and they arrested him for the murder, wth? 😱
-
I'm so sorry to hear what happened to him an innocent person sent to jail.. I pray the family will one day have peace and closure. May God bless them 😢
-
Horrible ,Horrible, Horrible, on all levels !!.
-
He should have sued the county for everything he could get out of them

Injustices are the hardest things to overcome. It destroys your soul. When you are an honest decent person like Greg it’s beyond galling to suffer the injustice he endured. The truth shall prevail but the pain until it does prevail is unbearable.

A living survivor of one of my absolute worst nightmares. I understand his steadfast stubborn fight for justice. I wish him and his family, peace and contentment and the ability to let it lie. I am praying that for him. I think his mum would smile to see her boy at peace. Touched my heart. Huge respect
-
I'm surprised they didn't try to get Brian to say Greg was in on it
-
Lovely couple.... So sad how they treated him... Shame onthose cops

What a woman for sticking by his side. Another example of police tunnel vision. Still happens today sadly. So glad the truth came out eventually.
