Game 2 of the 2010 CWS Finals was neck and neck through the very end. But it was Whit Merrifield's 11th inning single to right field that gave South Carolina the title over UCLA, 2-1.

    UCLA had Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer while USC had JBJ, Merrifield and Christian Walker. Couple of loaded teams

    Gamecocks win their 1st major national championship in Omaha, the last champion at Rosenblatt. Then, they went undefeated in the 2011 tournament, winning the 1st CWS at the new ballpark. Got to the finals in 2012, after which Coach Tanner left coaching to become the AD. In the following 11 seasons, NO appearances in Omaha. We need you in the dugout coach Tanner!

    1:40:29 - stupid commentators say the guy shouldn't have cut it off. Had he not done that, the 3rd baseman would have been 10 feet off the bag and had no chance at getting the runner.
