My cat escaped the day I left Iowa for California and I cried the whole drive out. I put an add in my hometown with a reward and lots of blacks cats found but not My Pinky. Finally the night before Halloween he was found. He was in bad shape but alive. That cat ran to me when they let him out of the cage, he didn't run away. I got my baby back and my world is happy again 😁☀️

Dogs and animals in general make you value and think about life in a whole different way!

I'm a grown man in my late 30's, my dog was missing for 6 hours and I thought he had gotten snatched away. We searched the neighborhood, but had no luck finding him. I cried like a baby in my wife's arms when the realization set in I will never see him again. She put an ad for our missing dog in the local neighborhood facebook group, and a neighbor about 2 blocks away had found him. I could deal with him passing away when the time comes, but it was the sudden loss and the feeling he was just ripped away from my life without getting to say goodbye that killed me inside. Interesting how our pets can become so much more, forging that same bond we hold dear with our fellow humans. I've lost family members and not felt the loss I felt when my little friend disappeared for those 6 hours.

Hi all, I Iive in SF and remember this story well from the news. The owner went to a small market & tied Jackson outside for only a short time, but he was gone when she came out. The news later stated he was stolen by a homeless person. I think he was then taken to southern CA when a shelter got him. I felt SO badly for her when this happened! I have a sweet little dog so i understand her pain in losing him. People frequently leave their dogs tied up outside grocery stores & markets here in SF, and when i see that i'm always afraid someone will take them. I'm not so trusting. God bless her & sweet Jackson! So glad this story had a happy ending.

I'm elated to see that it doesn't appear that Jackson had been abused or neglected. Whew!!!

There is a special corner in Hell for people who steal other people's dogs.

Stop stealing dogs they are so many that can be adopted in the shelters or rescues

My dog ran away and then he got stolen for about 3 months. He was a puppy, he ran away from their house and came back to my house😅 at least they didn’t look for him. We did put lost signs but they didn’t give him back. I’m happy we did get my old man back (that was 11 years ago)

Losing your loved pet when it passes away is always painful but to have it stolen will break your heart. So happy your dog was found and returned
