Say what you will, Rick comes across more articulate than a lot of guys on these shoot interviews. Clear and concise

This interview was taken JUST after WCW folded and many of the wrestlers invaded the WWE. Rick was 41 and is 63 today.

Scotty started eating his vitamins and saying his prayers, brother.
  • Scott Steiner doesn't get enough credit. Nobody and I mean nobody could get heat like him...From the crowd and other wrestlers. New Jack was the only other guy I know that could get that heat.

I agree 100% with Rick. I've always thought Russo was a plant by the WWE to destroy WCW so, Vince McMahon could buy it cheap.

I met Scott at a K-Mart I was working at not long after he changed his gimmick. He was super nice. But the thing I remember most is how he was so ripped he had extra back. His back was enormous.

You can tell Rick really loves Scott. It's never Scott. It's always "my brother."

That said I think Rick, like Sting, was deep down too decent of a guy to go with Vince Russo and a lot of the low brow Attitude Era style storylines.

Meanwhile, Scott with his new look and gimmick seemed perfect to break out in that writing environment.

In the early days with JCP and early WCW, Rick seemed to give better promos, like with the Varsity Club feud, while Scott hardly said anything.

In later years, Rick didn't seem to have a gimmick other than being Rick Steiner, and he hardly did any promos. He reminded me a lot of Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn in that he was an excellent worker but didn't have much of a personality.

Meanwhile, Scott blew up on the mic, and it was hard to tell what was in character and what was a shoot. I would also say Scott wasn't as technical in the late 90s as he was in the late 80s, but he could still pull off a Frankensteiner now and then.

Meanwhile Rick kind of collapsed into Scott's shadow and never came out of it. I missed him after he went away. He was a great wrestler.
  • Here is somebody that nobody talks about Scott Steiner
It was clear to everybody that Scott was on steroids
It was never discussed or talked about while he was in wrestling
  • I always preferred Rick over Scott. Guess I identified more with the Dog Faced Gremlin. What was Scott's gimmick anyway, "Look at me, I wear chainmail on my head and do steroids. Look at how much steroids I can do."

Rick only had a 33 and 2/3 chance percents at beat Scotty!!!
  • I agree Russo was a McMahon Plant to ruin WCW Rick Steiner is really Smart .As far as Bros I have 3 n I always stuck up for them but they did not always return favors !! Very sad

Stevie Ray was the drizzles tbf. Booker has always been talented though. Scott got too big and couldn't work.

Rick was clearly the better worker & alot wiser..i do think Scot could've thrown Rick a bone & i also never understood that & glad something was finally said ..
