In between deciding to homeschool my youngest son or putting him in a smaller district. He has struggled with school due to bullying and was diagnosed with clinical depression and severe anxiety. I don't want to pull him away completely from associating with other children his age but if he is not accepted this would be the next step and I don't even know where to begin or how to go about getting a curriculum. His grades are poor in school right now but we are in a big district and I feel he needs one on one teaching. And I feel like this would provide that. In class they are rushed through and not given the special time they might need. Help.

Hi!! I'm a homeschooler in MS but I want to relocate, so I'm here for research. Great info by the way!! My questions are do you have to send a filled out enrollment certificate to the enrollment officer in your county? and if my children decide to attend public school, will they be tested before being placed in their correct grade?
  • Can you please explain what activities are taught in each subject. What activities are for reading? What activities for Spelling? What activities are for Grammar? What to do for Writing? What to teach for social studies? Thak you for your time.
  • The template that you mentioned at the end for grading & report keeping, would u mind posting the link that you use, thank you I really appreciate it
  • Hi, new here! I just recently withdrew my kids from public school to start homeschooling. I found a curriculum and some resources I want to start using. So my next step is to start teaching and that's it? No reporting, no testing to the state or anything like that?

Hi there! Can you please identify the Texas law/code that says school districts are required to provide certain resources to children aged 0 to graduation age? This would be very helpful. Thank you!
  • Hello...what about the star test?? Are they required at home schooling and if yes how does that work?
  • Hi can you possibly consider closed caption for hearing impaired 🤓
  • If I homeschool my child will I be required to show proof to anyone such as their old school? Or will I be required to show them grades or their progress? Thanks In advance.
