With Vince gone from the company, so is the stigma. 3. Reigns Now has FULL control of his character. Unlike before when Reigns was forced to say cringe promos, Reigns for the past 4 years has had control of his character and promos. So whatever you heard over the past 4 years and what you hear going forward will be words for Joe Anoa'i himself. 4 . He just had a successful heel run. Every great face needs a successful heel run. Very few people in history can stay face forever . Reigns has just completed one of the biggest heel runs over the past 15 years. 5. The fans are already cheering him. 6. He's in better shape than ever before. Back in the day Reigns didn't look nothing like he does now. He was kinda skinny for his height and, he looked young and he looked too manicured. Now he looks rougher and badass.

For people saying Cody is a star how come he couldn't get AEW ratings up? The Rock was popular in wrestling and a popular actor. How is possible because he is a star. Roman kept the ratings up. Cody is not a bad wrestler but just boring.

Your mention of Cody as a transitional champion is a sort of feeling I have about all of this. The landscape at the moment is a lot of older, less important wrestlers holding titles after having toppled long reigns, (Rhea being the exception as she is one of the younger, main "stars") and my instinct is telling me none of them are meant to hold the titles for any real length of time. It's like they are setting up for a reset with all this "new era" talk, in preperation for the switch Netflix.

So I can see Roman, Usos vs Rock Solo Tama at war games with Jacob fatu and another Samoan joining each side. I also think Rock will beat Cody for the title maybe next royal rumble and it’ll all lead to Roman vs rock at next mania for tha belt
