After taking a near 10 day break from the parks (couldn't get a reservation!), we're back for our bi-weekly State of Disneyland. And what we found were crowds significantly lighter than we were expecting. We've also got two stories we'll be talking about. Some thoughts on the short term future of the Haunted Mansion and Disney's response to the DAS abuse problem. All this and more. We'll go to every land, every attraction. It's our State of Disneyland report.

Book your Disneyland, Disney World, or any other theme park vacation with our partners at GetAwayToday. Single and Multi day tickets too (they're refundable with GetAwayToday).

CROWD sizes are down since so many attractions are in refurb and RUNAWAY RAILWAY is not new anymore.

I love Disneyland so please don't take this the wrong way but for the last couple of years Disney has pretty much outpriced it self from most people, and that is when the rides are not down and are working. At almost 200.00 dollars for the day with the number of rides down really makes it not work the time or money to go to Disneyland. If you add lighting lane prices you could drop 1500.00 dollars easy on a one day trip. Who has that kind of money right now with the ongoing uptake in the price of food at stores right now. For a lot of families its feed the kids for the next 2 weeks or go to Disneyland and no feed the kids for the next 2 weeks. Family first.

I was one of the people yelling freshbaked, said hi twice once by royal street veranda and then by big thunder. Thank you for what you do.

Dave, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night wondering how the state of Disneyland is. It's the most important thing in my life. You know, after my job and my kids and paying the rent and buying food for my family. Thanks for keeping us informed.

I've been watching you for well over 10 years now I think Dave, waking up in the morning and being able to watch your state of disneyland reports while I work brings me so much joy. Thank you for the last 10 years of content. It's only gotten better and better.

Well, I don't mind a dead park when I visit. πŸ˜‚ Thanks for taking us through a delightful day at the park, David.
  • Disneyland was very pleasant this past Saturday. I was able to do all the rides in one park in one day, averaging 8 minutes across all the attractions without Lightning Lane or Single Rider use. I also watched the parade and the half-firework show(because of the rain), and stopped 3 times to eat. But I got to Disney at 6:59 am and didn't leave till about 12:30 am, so it was a long but very fun day.

Love your channel! That would be AMAZING to see the state of Disneyland the same weeks across various year!!!

Fresh Baked, you are incredible! You are the only person I know of who gets as excited as I do at Disneyland. I will be in the park in May, and can hardly wait to get there. Thank you so much for the great videos. πŸ’•

Post spring break / pre summer crowds as always.
  • Me and my girlfriend were lucky enough to be there that day! It was great to say hi to you and enjoy the light crowds on a Friday!
  • Thanks for the updates, Fresh Baked! Great video! I do personally consider myself a Disneyland purist, however I absolutely love the Pixar decoration on Main Street. Really any decorations for that matter. So I guess I’m not the purist I thought I was!!πŸ˜…

I do like the Pixar Fest decorations down Main Street. As temporary decorations I think it’s nice to have colours and hues that really pop, and the character design style is adorable. Thanks for all that you do. I love seeing my beloved home away from home when I’m halfway across the world.

The original Haunted Mansion should be in place for Fall/Halloween. August-January is too long for the Haunted Holiday overlay. Push it back to November-February instead. We want the goblins and ghoulies!!!
  • @khayes83
Matterhorn and Indy can’t be found at any other parks. The others rides have duplicates. That might be the reason for the lines being the longest?
  • @jcool0122
This is my favorite time of the year to go to Disneyland. My kids have spring break next week, and then we go over their spring break, its all light crowds. Of course, it's been 5 years, but it sounds like the pattern still holds.
  • I really love your love of Disneyland so much. Been going since I was a toddler and I'm in my late 50s now. I still LOVE it.
  • @aiver.a
We went yesterday so sad we didn’t get to see you and say! It was a lovely day at the parks
