Can't we agree that Benedict Cumberbatch has done a great job as Doctor Strange?
  • @Scapeghost
How is Strange going to fill Tony’s role as Peter’s mentor if he doesn’t consistently set a bad example for him?

Doug is amazing. Has anyone ever noticed how well-behaved he is to sit through all these videos?

One little caveat, Strange didn't even know what an Incursion was until after that meeting with Wanda. The incident with Spider-Man he didn't know was an Incursion. Nor did he think it would turn into that because he wasn't aware of the multiverse being let loose thanks to Sylvie.
  • I’ve thought Dr Strange has been set up for an evil arc since he grew the third eye. He really isn’t much different than his other variants, but they’ve tried to trick us into thinking he’s “the good one”. I think he’s going to attempt something to stop Kang’s multiversal war. But it will end up doing more harm than good, and lead him to oppose the rest of the new avenger team. He’s a tragic character doomed to let his ego and motivations blind him to the truth.

You are putting so much more thought and connectivity into this than the actual studio and filmmakers did.
  • Michael Waldron and Sam Raimi not watching Wandavision is the biggest misstep if you ask me

Loved Strange's arc in What If? Great that BC did the voice over too.

The commercials in WandaVision were originally written to be Dr Strange trying to communicate to Wanda. Kevin Feige cut that because he didn't want "another white man swooping in to save the day"

Honestly, this show's Dr. Strange never really learns his lesson that causes a lot of the mystic problems we see currently BUT we also see how the writers of these films are not on the same page. Wanda at the end of WandaVision and Wanda from Dr. Strange 2 are so jarringly different that there's no way the creative team on both productions were on the same page. Hopefully MCU reboots after Secret Wars and has a more cohesive vision. It feels like after Far From Home, Fiege didn't want to let go of MCU's popularity and just threw stuff at the wall until they knew where to go with the multiverse saga.

Wouldn't it have been Wong's job to talk to Wanda as he's the Sorcerer Supreme at that time?

Sometimes I think marvel should hire YouTube channels as a creative think tank prior to making these movies. I enjoy most of them, but the additional logic and sensibility would make them all the more enjoyable 🤔

“Temporal manipulations can create branches in time…” The seeds were planted long before we knew it…

What’s awesome about this is that Strange and Tony are the same personality type. The difference is (so far) Tony ultimately realizes it and sacrifices to fix everything. Even sees the future (hope they explore this sometime).

Strange is basically facing iron man’s fate

On Strange telling Wanda about what happened in NWH, keep in mind it's still super unclear what he does and doesn't remember about that whole situation. Presumably he remembers none of the "Peter Parker" side of things, only what he did for Spider-Man. Which would mean the whole personal angle wouldn't be something he can talk about.
  • @stevenbieler
Remember how Mordo talked about creating branches in time and how that’s a bad thing? Sounds familiar.

With the way the MCU has been shaped since the pandemic, there a multitude of holes, plot holes, and a whole lot of problems in the MCU. Hopefully, the strikes gives Disney/Marvel an opportunity to be more cohesive.
