Really want to hear more on Omnibus from veritas press! I'm considering their self paced history course.

We used Math for a Living Education for my son grades 1-5. We loved it!
  • We had issues with TGATB Language Arts and Math we did this year. As much as I have always wanted to love them(it’s a truly beautiful curriculum in my opinion)it just has never worked for us. And if I am being honest, I really believe the hype makes me want to love it more than I normally would. I really feel like they introduce new concepts constantly and it never really has a chance to solidify any one concept. I just found my kids were really frustrated a lot! We switched to BJU mid year and my kids have been thriving. And I even found Teacher’s books for really cheap on, I believe Abe books so that helped.

Square Foot Gardening was the least favorite of Campfire’s units we’ve done. It was just too much prep and planning to make it work like it should have. But we’ve liked the others much better.

Absolutely love Math Lessons for a Living Education! We have used 2 years now. Also I highly recommend the practice book. Starting in Level 4 they have video lessons ❤
  • I always enjoy seeing what works and what doesn't for different people. I loved Master Books math...but it didn't work for my kids... so sad. After trying a couple different tries, we've ended up back on Saxon's homeschool programs. It worked for my older kids and I tried to do something different for my younger ones...and here I am back again. But we do Masterbooks Language Program and a lot of Science from them. History I run in about 6 years cycles..4 using Mystery of History and 2 using Notgrass.

First of all, I love listening to your podcast 🤩 I am very interested to know more about unit studies and using your group-learning style for different grades. We have 4 boys 6, 5, 3, and 1, so they will all be in very close in grades as we keep going on our homeschool journey. How does this work? I was homeschooled using Abeka and just can't completely visualize how this idea practically looks and works. TIA!

What printer do you use? You print a lot!
  • We use a gentle feast and some of ambleside online. History through Charlotte Mason living books is so fun! My kids LOVE our island story! We love math u see for math! Also If you love CAP I would look at their Bible Gods Great covenant. I know you said you don’t do Bible with them but it’s so good and I really love making it a study for us aside from our other Bible stuff we do. They have catechisms, latin terms, how you see Jesus in the OT. So so good. It is also helpful to print out Charlotte masons principles and know how to do short lessons and varying them. It helps a lot with the riches and enrichment studies!
