Choosing a helmet with the proper ratings is the most important part of buying a helmet, second only to proper fitment. This is a potentially life altering decision so choose wisely!

I was going to do a video like this, then found this. You did an excellent job and I don't know why you don't have more views. Great job and thank you for the education. Well presented.

Snell and Dot means nothing, look out for FIM, ECE and Sharp ratings.

Here’s a question I have been wondering with the new ECE 22.06 and FIM standard is there any significant benefit of having a MIPS or similar system in a helmet with these ratings because it seems really hard to find one with a slip plane and the new ratings

ECE or FIM, although my Arai street helmet is only Snell. Which makes me sad. I wish more companies would do what Klim is doing where you can choose between the ECE or the Snell standard, so the buyer has the choice.

I CANT BE THE ONLY PERSON WHO THOUGHT THEIR EARS WERE RINGING LOL
  • If only anyone cared about people with larger craniums. Try finding a 5x helmet with anything but DOT ratings.
