I remember when my grandpa fought the Chilean troops in the rubble of Paris, thank you Paradox for acknowledging his fight

A bit of history, in the late 1800 Chile started colonizing western Patagonia and Araucanía, then a frenchman Orelie Antoine claimed that if they made him king france would send aid, hearing this Chile ordered an imediate invasion, Antoine was arrested and tried as a madman, trough french mediation he was set free, he returned to Araucanía trying to become king again but Chile had enough of him and put out a bounty on his head, Orelie fled to France where his decendents still claim Araucanía

The decision is not bugged it's Pardox finally revealing their true opinion on the natural borders of France

Turning Chile into a French Kingdom. Now this is a path in the focus tree that is going to be fun.

The reason why Chile has the Prussian hat as their division icon is because in 1880s to the 1900s Chilean soldiers were trained in Prussian tactics and weapons, plus with a large amount of German immigration during that time it made Chile very influenced by Prussia It's even still seen today where the Chilean parades march like Prussian soldiers

Forming France as Chile is Kaiserredux type shit and I love it
  • @Hyde_Hill
You now have to play as War Baby one time.
  • Even if paradox wasn't going to allow you to core africa, you could still get algeria because it WAS considered mainland france from 1848 to 1962 and france gets cores on them in game.

Here I was hoping to hear the French anthem on a kazoo 😢. I also forgot that a baby is the king of Rapa Nui. Finally a playthrough more glorious than New Zealand.

6:40 fun fact that whole situation is in Victoria 3 as an event, the event pops up when playing as Chile or Argentina; obviously you can ignore the whole thing and continue colonizing Araucanía/Patagonia but you also have the choice to recognize Antoine as king and them becoming a centralized nation in exchange of them becoming your puppet
  • The Paths of Chile are very rare, for example the Mapuche does not make much sense since Chile has always been a very anti-indigenous country, in fact the government even subsidized European immigrants during the 19th century to eliminate indigenous identity.

Chile mencionado 🗣🗣🗣 CHILE CAMPEON 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
  • 18:36 "WE GET CLAIMS ON QUEBEC?!" I've never heard you so impressed/confused/shouty before...
  • @TDWhirlpool
Mapuche Chile was my first play in the DLC and holy hell is it actually powerful if you make the independent natives. Especially when you give them the Together We Stand national spirit. I legitimately had them cooperating with me through the conquest of Russia and Germany
  • @OnlyGrafting
Can we just appreciate that you can make Chile France and you can make Argentina the Fourth Reich 😂
  • @thencrranger5628
Funny how this DLC got a lot of praises in YouTube and yet the actual DLC itself got a lot of negative receptions on Steam
  • @carpet163
It's very interesting how Paradox is starting to make the alternate history paths more crazy than realistic. It's obviously fun but it feels like they're taking notes from Kaiserredux and other wacky mods.
