Comparison is a normal, human occurrence. It’s hard not to notice when someone has a nicer car than you, a bigger house than you, or seems more successful than you. We have all fallen into that temptation. But we can’t let comparison trap us. When it does, we begin to live outside of our calling and the life God has for us. In week 4 of our series Cuffing Season, Pastor Mike warns us about the dangers of comparison and teaches us how to kill it in our lives. If you know someone who needs this message, share the link with them!

I don’t think people understand how important Pastor Mike is to the youth. Introducing them to God and a relationship w him.
  • EVERY FAMILY HAS SOMEONE WHO BREAKS THE CHAIN OF POVERTY IN THAT FAMILY,I PRAY YOU BE THE ONE
  • I’ve suffered from suicidal thoughts and personality disorders (NPD) because of comparison and insecurities. This message allowed me to confront ME and surrendered to God. Thank you Jesus! 🙏🏾
  • I’m NO LONGER A SLAVE TO FEAR! I AM A CHILD OF GOD🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

The way this sermon popped me in the back of my neck like Grandma’s slipper 🥿 😭 I HEAR YOU LORD 🙏🏽

The way I hollered when Pastor Mike said, “Don’t nobody want them t-shirts!” It’s true tho! Only go where God’s provision leads you!
  • When I tell you I've been stuck in comparison for YEARS with no direction about how to break free from it. I am beyond grateful for this message. I'm ready to start living in freedom and not be cuffed to comparison
  • Points to note about comparison. 1. Looking at other people's lane makes you stumble on your lane. 2. Compare products not people. 3. It is hard to be content when you are stuck in comparison. 4. Only use metrics to measure volume, not value. 5. People weren't made made for comparison yet we are consumed by it. 6. Stay in your spot/gifting because that is what you win at. Your efficiency, your joy, your blessing and your rest is in your race. When you step out of it, you step out of your grace. 7. Comparison is an act of ignorance. 8. Some of us are so bogged down by the weight of comparison that it trips us up. 9. Comparison always starts as a cavity and leads to coveting. (Exodus 20:17) 10. Sin is an illegitimate response to a legitimate need. (James 4:2-4) 11. Comparison is human but it is not holy and helpful. 12. Comparison keeps you out of rooms you are supposed to go in (Luke 15:25-28) 13. Being emotionally irate leads to isolation. 14. Comparison makes you a slave and not a son. (Luke 15:29) 15. Comparison paralyzes perspective and makes you live below privilege. 16. Comparison always kills compasion. You cannot have compassion for people you are comparing yourself with. 3 ways to kill comparision 1. Constantly celebrate 2. Confidence in your calling. 3. Compare only to Christ. Christ should be our only comparison not to see how far we are but to see how close we are getting.

I'm glad Pastor Todd is being himself and not trying to be like any other because he breaks down the Word uniquely and delivers the message so God can convict you. It is clear he has been focused on his calling. I thank God for using him and I pray he and his family will be continually blessed especially in spite of the harsh criticism that comes with great influence.

Anyone else start 😢 when he said repeat after me YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE!!! My spirit man felt that.
  • Congratulations to everyone for every single accomplishment that you have done, and every challenge you have overcome you are strong, brave, and courageous because you have God on your side. YOU ARE AWESOME YOU ARE A MASTERPIECE!!!
  • @thelindabhere
*You devalue yourself through comparison. * I needed to hear this. Thank you
  • I’m a dentist and I love the cavity comparison. Keep teaching Pastor Mike!
  • Social media is an ego booster and keeps us in a never ending comparison loop. As we should get inspiration and motivation in healthy ways, if we compare our lives (in any form whether it's positive or negative) it will always be never enough. God is our main source and will provide us whatever his plan is 🙏
  • When God called me out of a career of 12 years, that I stepped into due to comparison, it was so hard. But when I embraced my calling, the oil has continued to flow in ways I never imagined. I left the money, the status, the titles, etc...for a calling and it's been an amazing experience. God's grace, provision, peace, anointing are Here!

I already know im going to watch this one over and over again. Comparison kept me frozen for so long - too old, too young, too small, not good enough, i dont sound like this, im not like that, its too late, etc. This one hits hard.

  • I’ve been cuffed to cigarettes for years, the first time I quit was with chantix, then got back with an ex and started back smoking bc I was weak and I couldn’t stop on my own. Got Covid then stopped again. Lost everything, homeless being insecure, stressed, started right back. Last week the Holy Spirit said go on a Fast for 3 days. When I tell you i came out of that not smoking or cravings Jesus was my only ASSISTANCE. Cuffed by a bad habit releases by JESUS 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
