I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. We are switching to distance learning next Friday and I have to keep track of attendance and share with administration. These forms will make it so much easier. The pre-filled links were the icing on the cake! Many thanks.

Thanks for sharing. Do you send the link to all the students to sign in or you ask student to come to your computer one by one to sign in? Looks like if you have the first method students can sign in for others. But if you go with the second method, does it consume a lot of time to ask student to sign in one by one?

What if any student joins later? Basically, I want an attendance system with increasing students list. Please help me if you got any solution.

This is very helpful, can you tell me if there is a way to update the pre-filled form? As in a student will no longer be participating? or you need to make a note for the teacher. I've done my form however I can't find how to edit it without having to pre fill all the fields again

Hi John, thank you for creating this video! It is very helpful. I am wondering how you apply conditional formatting to each day's entry. Do you have to conditionally format each day or can it be set to automatically conditionally format the green for "present" and the red for "absent" after each day's entry is submitted? Thank you!

Hi! Maybe I missed it, but could you tell me how to take attendance every day? What I mean, you open the same form over and over and then it gets automatically saved under the date you want? I'm also wondering if you could add a QR code that students can scan? Thanks for your time.

Can you add new students without having to retype your rows from scratch? For example, say your form is an alphabetized list of students, then a new student enters the class. I didn't see how to rearrange the existing rows so I could insert a new student's name in the proper place without retyping the whole list.

great demo. may I know how do you manage your form with students dropping out and new student coming in? the excel response will be mess up when such situation arises.

How can i make it so that when new entries are added to the spreadsheet, the cells ranges for the formulas are automatically adjusted?
