I’d actually disagree with “only do what works”. My top video ever (1.3 million) was something I’d never done before and is not that popular in my niche. the same with some of my other top videos. Try a mix of tried and true and new formats.

  • I’ve always loved your interviews with Jake. Thanks again for an amazing video. These topics about titles and thumbnails helped me get my first few viral for me videos. Thanks again!
  • I didn't actually read the title of this video. I saw the text on the video, and recognised him from a previous video you made. And clicked because I wanted to watch something. Interesting

Make comment word clouds of the comments' sections of your competitors! That'll show you what people want and are responding to in your niche super quick
  • @tube-master
Modeling what works is the recepie for sucess on YouTube! This is a completely different perspective on YouTube titles than what everyone on YouTube is talking about. Thanks for the video! 🎉
  • @scriiv
Massive value! So many takeaways that everyone who's making videos should see this ASAP! 💎
  • Jay, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the exhaustion of negative titles. Negativity, drama, and fear may get you to click, but my videos have little negativity, drama, or fear. I appreciate the recommendation to look for inspiration out of my niche.

Some great tips here, will definitely try to focus and put more time and effort into my titles to see if that can generate a few more clicks.
  • @SmartHobbies
Good food for thought. I really liked the idea about borrowing title frameworks that work in other niches.
  • @lisalikesplants
