  • I think the biggest thing going into next year is ea needs to figure out to make cards valuable without needing to rely on abilities. The game is honestly at its best when u can just play with a card without having to rely on good ability stacks. The need to fix/ redo LB animations . I think if we can go back to madden 20 like ap system it will allow for stats to shine through better on the cards. I agree that dollar has kinda run its course and it’s time for more defensive flexibility. I would also like to note than with most rpos in real life, ur reading the leverage and alignment of the defense pre snap so for the most part the read decider 98% of the time will only be the DE because hypothetically if u didn’t like the way the alignment from the D was u would pretty much snap the ball ignore the pass and just run it like regular read option. Overall I liked this years madden more than last year but I still think if we can get to a point where we don’t need abilities to be great madden players it would elevate the mut space even more.

I really hope they let us add abilities in Regs one of these years. Maybe like a Tier 1 teams: +1 ability. Tier 2 teams: +1 on O, +1 on D. Tier 3 teams: +1 on O, +1 on D, and a third to put on whichever side you prefer. We need something to A. Make more teams usable. NFL is super regional and tribal.. people want to use THEIR team and still have a somewhat competitive shot. And B. Just break up the repetitive staleness of competitive Regs. It's 50% KC, 30% BUF, 10% PHI, 3% each SF/BAL/DAL, and then 1% everybody else. It gets REALLY old, really fast. I'm even okay with certain abilities being off limits. I don't think you should be able to give Sam Darnold the same Hot Route Master that Patty Mahomes has. So you can even make that one that only he gets to signify he's the GOAT. But if I want to throw a KO on my 79 OVR CB, and slot apprentice on my 83 OVR WR, and actually have a chance to compete as the Raiders or Steelers or Saints or whoever.. let me do that. The Steelers, Lions, Packers, and Texans all made the playoffs this year.. and I swear I've seen those 4 teams like 3 times total in 500+ games played. That's gross. Edit: And the way I envision it is just replacing that goofy "Defend the Short Pass" 30 second menu thing that we have now before the game. Give us 30 seconds, list Offensive and Defensive players by their OVR, and depending on what team we're using we'll have 30 seconds to add 1-3 abilities. Once the game starts they're locked in for that game. Done and done.

The Reaper Juke last year was good AND it took a tad bit of skill versus just juking this year. Totally agree on RPO Reads, wayyyy to OP/Easy Also agree on “Make LB usable again” on Regs. I understand they can’t give too many LBs Superstar/X-Factor but a simple fix can be Traits. LBs with the aggressive play ball in air trait should get Safety like animations on the ball -Great video bro. Love the content, definitely helped me become a better player over this last year

RPO reads were definitely in the game last year...remember RPO Read Flat Wheel? The read portion was really shitty but still- even when run normally, people just called it an RPO glitch because of the two or three RPOs that were actually glitched
  • @JayBski
Is that a hickey?? Civ you dirty dirty dawg😏
  • Fun fact juke has been good every year since madden 20 with 5’11 RBs just everyone copied the famous YouTubers who’d run on conservative
  • @jaynizz582
The auto fakeout mechanic of the juke needs to go
  • @ThatFalloutGod
My thoughts: >The run was overpowered for multiple reasons. Secure Protector helped the run, pursuit angles were fucking abysmal, jukes were broken beyond belief, react times were too slow, RPOs, X-Factors, etc. Even if you do everything perfect, you can get fucked and give-up an 80 yard touchdown for no other reason than EA hates you. >I haven't had an issue with rolling-out this year when compared to previous years, but rolling-out needs a major nerf to become balanced. Contains and QB spies aren't nearly potent enough to counter scrambling, and the idea of being able to just sling the ball across your body to the opposite side of the field to a wide-open guy is absurd and we don't need or want that in Madden. >Blitzing this year is closer to fine than it has been in the past. You can block the A and B-Gaps by just sliding your line and maybe using ID. Edge pressure is inconsistent to block, but you can. 6-1 is just obnoxious to play against because 99% of the time, it's some mindless kid. There are some blitzes that're literally unblockable. Connected to this, the glitched clocks have to be fixed, it's been an issue for years. I don't want to be stuck with 15 seconds or less every time I choose a play. Give me the time I chose in my settings. And alongside this, Conductor should just be baked into the game and the defensive adjustments need to be changed so there's a far less chance of making mistakes or the game not registering you did something (why they ever changed this is fucking beyond me). >I don't think OL with Secure Protector and All Day are balanced, but when compared to what defenses can do blitz-wise and past years, I much prefer this. That being said, EA seriously needs to fix the AI logic of OL. If there are only three rusher against six blockers, all of them should be double-teamed and basically never come in. >Civil's completely wrong about juking. It's a busted, garbage idea that gives shitters the ability to get free plays they never earned. There's no stick involved this year in making people miss, it's just spamming your right stick and having EA hand you everything. We need to revert back to what we've had in the past, where stick and knowledge reigned supreme. Juke and spins were tools that good players could use to make plays, but you could also solely use your left stick to make plays. >Constant X-Factors are awful for the game and can't return. I'm not huge on Abilities to begin with, but at least they aren't as busted as X-Factors. >There are too many times where a defender gets a pick when they were never in place to make a play. Let alone with usering, it's just a lack of skill that we had to have years ago. Hell, even in Madden 25, if you had FS Calvin, it wasn't just some cheat code where you could cover a 20 yard radius constantly. >The most obnoxious thing specific to Madden 24 is the "Accurate: Out of Reach" passes. You can't throw a corner route of any kind when you used to do it, you have to wait that split-second that allows the defender to react way better. It's utter horseshit and needs to be removed. Madden 24's a shit game in a vacuum. It's a shit Madden when compared to what we had a decade ago. But I've said it for awhile now, Madden could easily become good with a month of work from EA, and be great within a year (EA, just give me the reins of Madden for $150k a year to prove the concept, then $400k afterwards). We're talking about minor changes that could be made to gameplay and how some systems work, and making the different modes of Madden not be shit. I could deal with the things I hate about the gameplay and how MUT's awful if I at least didn't constantly know I was getting screwed by EA in-favor of an inferior opponent. Between DDA, jukes, Knockouts, glitch blitzes, busted plays, etc. there's a significant lack of skill-gap, and we desperately need it. But because Madden has one of the worst player-bases of any game, things will never get better. YouTubers and Streamers won't constantly rail against EA, the forums are ruined by shills and scumbags banning people for no reason (apparently not liking Caleb Williams is "racist and homophobic"), and the game's plagued with whales who spend hundreds of dollars every month on the game (which is retarded given that you can get millions of coins by not even spending $100 in the year). So until there's some mass of players banding together to go after the scumbags and EA, nothing will ever change.
